Stand firm then with the best of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel in peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. -Ephesians 6:14-17
“Why aren’t you writing?” Deacon Mike asked me months ago. Writing is a gift God has given me after encountering Him. I stopped journaling at the prayer meetings. Was I not called to record anymore? Was Jesus asking me to experience something different? Last night, I asked, I mean really asked this time, for my gift of writing to come back to me. I didn’t feel called to keep writing at the meeting though. I wanted to sing. I wanted to close my eyes. I wanted to raise my hands with a Hallelujah. I wanted to dance. I didn’t want to write. What I discovered last night as I drove home and this morning is that I don’t always have to record every word spoken or word that comes to mind because if Jesus wants me to write these minutes, a blog, or a chapter in my next book, the words will be given to me without me “doing” a single thing to prepare because the words don’t actually come from me, the come into my heart from Jesus.

I can’t believe it has been 16 months since we began our Heart to Heart ministry. The numbers continue to grow. The healing continues to transform the hearts of us all. The MIRACLES are happening. We are RISING up in the name of Jesus Christ together as one FAMILY in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Through each SEASON of our lives, one thing remains, JESUS. The LOVE Jesus has for YOU. Your identity as a child of God. As I continue to experience the world outside of Jesus, I realize how important it is to know our truest identity. I watch our members come and sit in the chairs each week knowing that they KNOW. We know exactly who we are. We know exactly WHOSE we are. Nothing of this world can change that; no circumstance too high or too low can change the beauty of your identity in the Lord. Keep living it. Keep growing. Keep going! The miracles are happening each week, all around us. Listen to the word the Lord is speaking to you. Listen to the prophecy that is spoken to you from your sisters and brothers each week (especially Deacon Mike!)

A lesson and shift we all made in beginning of our prayer meeting is to offer up to God the people and burdens that are on our hearts. This allows our hearts to be open to exactly what God is calling us to experience tonight. It’s helps unblock what we are hiding behind. It helps reveal the parts of our hearts that we need to tend to and care for; that we need to allow Jesus to tend to and care for. When we offer God those people or burdens that we are carrying, we must call upon the Holy Spirit to fill those places that we have surrendered. And then, it begins, healing occurs and miracles happen.
“Every time one of you says YES a door opens…every single time. The grace was actually flowing the entire night…like golden liquid purifying and healing. It can’t be stopped. Jesus can’t be stopped.” -Janine

As prayer teams are growing, I am moved each week by the spirit, the power, and the fire coming from each one of our hands as we lay them on each other. You are learning. You are growing. You are transforming. You are rising as your true self. You are a MIRACLE. Receive all the healing wants to give you. Know that you are worth and deserving all of it. Move from the darkness into the light. He will take you as far as you are willing to go and then when you’re ready, He’ll move again and again and again in you. He will not stop. He will not stop loving you. This relationship and healing in Jesus does not mean perfection, but it means freedom from every chain that holds you captive since you were in your mother’s womb. Don’t be afraid to discover those parts, chains, and wounds because when you do, Jesus will break and heal every single one of them. You will never be the same.

One of our members expressed his gratitude for our group and Jesus deepening his prayer life. I love hearing testimonies from our group because it sparks others to share. After his sharing, another member shared his story from when he began coming to our group in October. At the time he was struggling; he was hiding from everything. He was in a dark place that I believe we all have experienced at one time or another in our lives. That dark place is somewhere we can get really comfortable. It feels easier to hide in the darkness believing the lies the enemy is telling us filled with spirits of overwhelm, anxiety, depression, self-hate, doubt, discouragement, and especially fear. Fear is what struck a cord the most I think in his story. He claimed that his fear took over his life, so much so, that he was afraid of everything including the lights in the room of our prayer meeting place. But I think we have to realize the most important thing, he came to the prayer meeting; one week at a time. He said YES to Jesus one step at a time. He sat in our circle, afraid of the light, but eventually facing it. He looked up; he encountered Jesus; he surrendered it all to Jesus. He let Jesus heal him. And the healing that is glowing from his heart and face each time he comes back is radiant. The glow of healing from Jesus is glowing from all of our faces and hearts. We are becoming more beautiful each time we say yes. There is no stopping us now. This is only the beginning! Do not stop saying YES.
In the world, bones will still break, hearts will still break. But in the end, light will overcome the darkness.
